SOUTHINGTON, Conn May 12 2008- REM Chemicals, Inc. announces its sponsorship of the Absolute Pleasure car, an Alcohol Funny Car in the NHRA Division 1 circuit. Team owners, driver Daniel Roman and crew chief Gary Mangiafico are excited to be working with REM this year and are looking forward to kicking off the season on May 23rd in Maple Grove, Pennsylvania.

The car is a 2006 Spitzer Chassis with a carbon fiber Firebird body. The all aluminum BAE Hemi engine produces over 2800 horsepower. Many of the internal parts, such as the valve train, internal engine components, supercharger components and drive train have been finished with REM’s Isotropic Superfinish (ISF®), helping the Absolute Pleasure car to run a best time of 5.82 seconds at 252 miles per hour in the quarter mile, while also improving component life and reducing horsepower loss.

REM, the inventor of the patented ISF Process, is a global supplier of surface engineering products and services.
