REM Surface Engineering Receives AS9100 Certification

REM Surface Engineering's US locations have received AS9100 certification. The AS9100 quality standard was established in 1999 out of the desire of the leading companies and organizations in the aerospace and defense industries to identify quality suppliers. AS9100 certification incorporates all of ISO9000 while also adding additional safety and quality requirements.
REM's Director of Operations, Justin Michaud, had this to say about the achievement, "We decided to pursue AS9100 Certification out of a desire to enhance our Quality Program in conjunction with our growing business in the Aerospace Sector. Quality is one of REM Surface Engineering's core values, and we felt that the attainment of AS9100 Certification would be an important enhancement to our ability to provide value to our customers." Mr. Michaud went on to say that, "Our successful certification is a testament to our commitment to continual improvement and to the quality of REM as a whole. We are excited about the growth that this certification will allow and the added confidence that it will provide our customers."
Lane Winkelmann, REM's Director of Services, added "REM's ISF Services Department is one of the fastest growing segments of our business. A large part of that growth is in the Aerospace Sector where more and more components are outsourced each year. Our AS9100 certification gives these customers the quality commitment they demand from an approved supplier."
