REM to Expand Operations in England

Sandy, Bedfordshire England- REM Surface Engineering is expanding its European operations and will be moving to a new facility in England this summer. The new facility will be located near St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, not far from its current location in Sandy, Bedfordshire. This expansion will enable REM to better serve the needs of their ever growing European customers. REM will begin operating in St. Neots by the middle of this coming July.
REM's Director of Operations, Justin Michaud, had this to say about the move, "We at REM Surface Engineering are excited to be moving into this new facility which will allow us to continue to grow and service our European markets. Our strong performance in Europe despite difficult economic conditions fueled this expansion. We look forward to the increased capabilities that this new facility will allow us to acquire and the additional business that it will allow us to absorb."
REM's UK staff is excited about the new possibilities the new facility creates. "It provides enormous opportunities for us to expand our operational capacity and offers the European market its first centre of excellence designed to provide sub contract services to our diverse customer base," states Martin McCormick Sales Engineer and Technical Supervisor. Mr. McCormick goes on to say that, "REM is committed to excellence in all aspects of operations and this is the platform from which we will promote these values in conjunction with the benefits of our ISF® technology." REM's European Sales Manager, Richard Jones, adds, "The move is designed to improve manufacturing efficiency, and to provide a dedicated facility for the development of sub-contract process work for precision components, which is an increasingly significant part of the REM business plan.New equipment for sub-contact work is being sourced, and additional staff will be recruited."
