REM Surface Engineering Hosts Lean Leadership Tour

REM Surface Engineering's Southington, CT location hosted a Lean Leadership Certification Tour on January 22, 2013. REM was selected to serve as an example to new lean leaders in training. REM began the afternoon with a brief presentation on the companies Lean Journey across all three locations. Afterwards tour participants were taken on a tour of the facility which included stops in the manufacturing, services, shipping and receiving, accounting and office areas. REM employees shared their experiences with participants and answered questions during the tour.
"The information shared on how REM (Surface Engineering) is developing a Lean culture throughout the company, at all facilities worldwide, and the opportunity to witness the Southington plant results on the tour was inspiring and timely. The REM Team delivered a very big "WOW" for all the participants of the LLC; they absolutely gathered many 'Golden Nuggets' from the visit," states Leanovations President, Fred Shamburg.
