AS9100 Certification Achieved by REM Surface Engineering Ltd.

On Dec 28, 2012 REM Surface Engineering Ltd's United Kingdom facility became AS9100 Rev C certified. REM's UK facility successfully made the transition from ISO:9001 and joins REM's US locations in achieving AS9100 certification. AS9100 is a rigorous aerospace standard recognized around the world; military and civilian aircraft builders rely upon on the quality of materials received and processes performed by certified suppliers to ensure the safety of the aircrafts that they produce.
"Achieving AS9100 certification is truly a high level of recognition within manufacturing industries. Only the best run companies are able to obtain certification, and REM is proud that our UK site can now be considered a part of this elite group," Justin Michaud, Vice President.
AS9100 Rev C introduces new terms such as Critical Items and Risk with an emphasis on customer focus, project management, configuration management and risk management. REM rose to the task of implementing these additions to the standard flawlessly. REM has always intensively focused on customer satisfaction, continual improvement and the production of the finest product possible; as such, AS9100 certification is a natural extension of REM's core values.
