FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brenham, Texas – REM Surface Engineering recently broke ground on a physical expansion to their location in Brenham, Texas.  After completing a full office renovation and expansion in 2017, this represents the second large-scale investment the company has made to grow its footprint in the area.  The roughly 7,200 square foot expansion will roughly double the square footage of the company’s warehouse and processing areas, with a new fully enclosed steel structure and loading dock, connected to the existing building.

“Coming on the heels of our last expansion in 2017, which was intended to accommodate our ever-growing Research and Development team, it’s incredibly exciting to invest in additional expansion to our physical space here in Brenham.  The need for this expansion is largely driven by the success of the research team we sought to grow in 2017, as their groundbreaking research in supporting 3-D Printed Metals has generated huge demand in Space Launch Propulsion partnerships with NASA and many well-known commercial space launch companies,” says Vice President of Strategy and Owner Nathan Michaud.

“This new space will allow us to fully modernize our processing areas to accommodate full-scale rocket propulsion components as well as additional complex new applications for industry applications in 3-D Printed Metals.   REM continues to be proud to have been an employer in Brenham for almost 30 years, and we are excited to continue adding jobs (particularly STEM opportunities) to the area.  We are grateful to partner with the City of Brenham and Collier Construction again on this project.”

Construction is scheduled to be complete late in the year with the expanded facility operational thereafter and ready to receive full-scale rocket components for NASA’s Artemis Moon/Mars missions.
