FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Brenham, Texas, (October 2, 2019) – REM Surface Engineering wins the 2019 TechConnect Defense Innovation Award for its technology titled, “Post-Process Surface Finishing and Optimization of Additively Manufactured Inconel-625 Components,” at next month’s DefenseTechConnect Summit and Expo in National Harbor.
“We are proud to announce our selection as a 2019 TechConnect Defense Innovation Awardee,” says Jennifer Rocha, Executive Director-Innovation Programs. “The annual TechConnect Defense Innovation Awards recognizes the top 15% of submitted Challenge technologies as ranked by the Selection Committee.
All attendees are invited to stop by REM Surface Engineering’s booth, #237, to discuss REM’s technology for the post-process surface finishing of additively manufactured nickel-based superalloys (currently being utilized to support NASA’s Artemis mission), as well as our research into process technologies for additional superalloys, and the dramatic improvements to surface condition, tensile strength, mechanical performance, and dynamic fatigue life imparted by our process.
“REM is honored to be recognized for our innovation and grateful for the ongoing opportunity to create impactful technologies in partnership with Paul Gradl and NASA.”- Justin Michaud, CEO, REM Surface Engineering.
