REM Hosts AGMA Aerospace Gearing Committee

The AGMA Aerospace Gearing Committee meeting was held at REM Surface Engineering’s Southington, CT location on May 16-17. The AGMA Aerospace Gearing Committee, “Determines special considerations required for gears used in aerospace applications.”

Committee member and REM President Mark Michaud states, “REM Surface Engineering was pleased to host the May meeting of the AGMA Aerospace Gearing Committee. This technical committee is working on updating the specification, ‘Design Guidelines for Aerospace Gearing’ and recently completed work on the technical sheet, ‘Aerospace Bevel Gears’.

Twelve engineers from across the United States and Canada attended the two-day event in Connecticut, which included a tour of REM’s facility and an evening meal at a historic Water Mill restaurant.
