Brenham, Texas – REM Research is excited to welcome Walton Schmidt, joining the team as a summer intern.

Walton Schmidt recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hofstra University with a BS Mechanical Engineering degree with a concentration in Aerospace. He is a born and raised Texan who loves science, engineering, and understanding how things work. In his personal life, he is interested in aviation, travel, soccer, and cooking.

“It is always a great opportunity for REM and the research team to partner with interns who are growing their expertise and acumen.  Walton has already established himself as a quick-learner, focusing on developing and expanding REM’s acumen in 3-D Laser Scanning technology and data analysis, which will be a great addition to REM’s abilities to characterize results and control precision surface-finishing for complex additively manufactured components.”- Nathan Michaud, VP of Strategy
